Hello!

Hello and welcome to our new Peach class blog!

It seems like ages ago since the summer holidays and Peach class have had a busy start to the new term.

We are already half way through our Literacy topic of a narrative unit, looking at familiar stories. We have been reading Where's my teddy? and the Rainbow Fish. The children already know these stories and have been helping me to read them and doing lots of fantastic writing!

In maths we are learning our numbers to 20 and counting one more and one less. Most children can do this easily but they would all still benefit from practising this skill. You can do it in the supermarket or while you are walking down the road together!

We have made our class rules - ask your children what they are so we can all have a happy and fun classroom to learn in.

We have also created our first class piece of art work. Here is a picture but please come into the classroom and have a look at the real thing, it's amazing!

We have also started a reward system where children get stars if they do something well. If they get 20 they get a prize. They can then bring their smiley face with all their stars on it home to show you!

Please come into the class anytime and look at the work we have been doing, we also have an excellent work board where I will be putting up good work done that day!

FINALLY.... Please, please remember GAMES is on a MONDAY and P.E is on a FRIDAY... Children MUST have their kit!
