1Peach are being magnificent mathematicians! We started studying space this week and have already created a shape display to help us remember the names of all the shapes. Some children also created some brilliant patterns using shapes! The whole class contributed towards making the giants posters above our whiteboard!
Ask your children the names of shapes of things around the house or when you are out and about! You will be amazed at how many shapes they can name! Some children even knew what an eight sided shape was called... ask your child, do they know??
Another reminder... some children are not bringing in their Games and P.E kits... children have to do these subjects and it is not fair if they are coming into school and getting in trouble for not having them. GAMES is on a MONDAY and P.E is on a FRIDAY! Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated.
I have also put a note on the door inviting parents to come in to class on school next Monday 6th October. It is just a short meeting to show parents how to help the children learn their spellings. If you would like to come along to this please turn up or come and see me if you have any questions.
Finally thanks to the parents who have returned their library and website permission letters. There is also a note on the door of the children who haven't yet returned them. I have been trying to catch parents in the morning, it's really important as the children can't take library books without this permission slip being returned.
Hopefully all the admin stuff should settle down now we are getting into a routine! I am really enjoying teaching 1Peach and I hope your children are coming home and telling you all about the fun things we are doing in class!
